A new and exciting breakfast snack created by pupils from Llanrumney High School is being sold in all schools in Cardiff.
The Breakfast Tortilla comes in three flavors and was designed by Yr 9
pupils Daniel and Marcus. The young entrepreneurs designed the healthy
breakfast snack as part of Cardiff Councils Live ‘n’ Cooking” competition.
“It is brilliant seeing our idea being sold in the school canteen and
amazing to think that every school in Cardiff is also selling them…Wish
we were getting a share of the profit, next time we will go and see the
Dragons Den team!” Commented Marcus and Daniel.

Litter Picking
Last week quite a small group of people were chosen to do litter picking on ‘the tidy up wales week’. The group of people chosen were given litter pickers, gloves and carrier bags to carry around with them whilst we went around the local area tidying up as much litter as possible; this was quite interesting as we got to see how much litter people actually dropping.

The Llanrumney pupils fought off competition from schools and 6th forms such as Cardiff High and St David's. The LHS pupils idea for the graduation event was declared the best by a panel of judges.

Year 7 ANTI BULLYING DAY
Today the year 7's and the year 9 buddies took part in an Anti-Bullying workshop with Mr Bell and some of the other teachers.
The year 7s watched a power point then they were split into 11 groups of 5 or 6. Each group had support from at least 2 year 9 pupils. The year pupils undertook activities to identify what bullying is and how it can affect people.
Then using this information they made a poster...with the help of the Year 9's! Once we made the posters we had to present them the whole year and the teachers. And everyone enjoyed themselves!

High School Street Production July 14th 2011
On Thursday 14th July, we had our school production, called High School Street. It was based on the film High School Musical and had part of the script to go along with it. We started planning our production in February and started practising for the show in March. Come June/July we practised nearly everyday and night to get the production as perfect as possible. It was hard at times when there were people missing rehearsals and not learning their lines but we got there in the end and the production was great!
It was a good expeirence and we hope to appear in other school productions.
